Getting a reservation at the French Laundry in Yountville, California, is not the easiest thing to do – and yet it worked out perfectly for my week-long 50th birthday celebration in Napa Valley. I already had days of fun activities planned with my very best friends, but at the last minute TFL called me to let me know I had made it off the wait list! A true surprise and a wonderful experience. As expected, each course was unique and delightful, with presentation and composition at the height of perfection. The experience capped off with a tour of the kitchen! I still carry around the laundry pin as a reminder of my birthday “eve” dinner.
